BREAKTHROUGH

God has been so good to me ever since. He has always the best purpose and plans for me and for you. You just need to trust Him and believe that “the best is yet to come”.

My parents wanted me to go abroad – the best way to be more successful in life especially earning money and building career. After graduation in college, I applied for a student visa, where I can work while studying, in United Kingdom. Unfortunately, God didn’t allow me, and I got denied. The worse thing happened was, we were scammed by the agency. To God be the Glory!

After 2 years, I decided to go to Macau to try my luck. Went there, went here, applied there, applied here and after 4 weeks, I went back home, to Philippines, since my luck was not there. Still, to God be the Glory! I prayed to God and asked why these things were happening. I told Him that I don’t deserve these failures since I started ministering at the age 14 as part of the Sunday School and Worship Team. I just wanted to give my family a better life. God’s answer is not a luck or an opportunity, but God has always a message in any downfall, failure or disappointment.

Yes, I am now reminiscing all those things and I can’t stop my tears whenever I think how great our God is. It took me 9 years in preparation to the breakthrough that I am praying for. It’s almost a year since I came to Canada and I am enjoying His blessing. “Truly, He is the God of breakthrough”. Sometimes, God is allowing us to walk through hardships but once we are ready to receive it, it will be a smooth sailing breakthrough. You can’t imagine how God will work in your life.

Like Abraham and Sarah, they waited for 25 years before God gave their breakthrough, who is Isaac. They didn’t stop believing and trusting God that He will fulfill His promise. They continued glorifying and praising Him while waiting for God’s answer. So, as you, whatever your age is, how young or old you are, trust in Him with all your heart and believe that He can do all things even impossible things for “He is the God of the impossible”. He is just preparing you for the breakthrough that He has promised. While waiting, don’t focus on what you don’t have but rather enjoy and be blessed for what you have because those blessings are from God.
